After shipping hundreds of uniforms, pieces of equipment and shoes to Senegal this past summer- all thanks to the amazing support of the Flamborough-Dundas Soccer Club- we held a series of big events in the villages of Ouakam and Yoff in September to distribute the goods to the local children.

One of the celebrations took place at the beach, where 10 communities and 25 teams came together to celebrate the distribution of the uniforms to the young soccer players. Many of the local dignitaries came out to support our cause, including the mayor, the local diarafs (who are the descendants of the ancient tribal leaders) and the Grand Seurigne de Dakar, who holds the highest societal standing in the Dakar region.

With such a prestigious turn-out, it was no wonder that the soccer games were intense and exceptionally well-played. Even some of the local professional soccer players came out to show-off their amazing skills.

All in all, it was an unbelievable day with hundreds of smiling faces and lots of uniforms from Dundas being worn!
